Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hyun Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flauterio Toglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim comes to the cage accompanied by To the Top. The crowd seem to be enjoying Toglas's choice of entrance music: Bodies. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hyun Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Flauterio Toglas! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim cracks Toglas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Toglas punishes Kim's body with a nice straight punch. Kim tries to score with a low kick but Toglas moves his leg out of the way. Toglas moves out of range of the strikes. Kim blocks a head kick by Toglas.

and Toglas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kim thinking. Kim checks a leg kick. Flauterio Toglas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kim shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Toglas's guard. Kim has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Toglas looking for a guillotine here but Kim defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim trying to control but Toglas is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kim working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Toglas's head. Toglas keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. Toglas trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Kim wants to control from the top but Toglas keeps moving. Toglas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Toglas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kim doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kim manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Toglas looks gassed! Kim trying to control but Toglas is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Toglas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kim is one step ahead there.

Kim slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toglas keeps working. Kim taking a breather here. Kim working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kim wants to control but Toglas is keeping him busy. Toglas is looking to regain half guard here but Kim keeps moving and retains side control. Kim lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Toglas down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toglas is not content to let Kim control the position. Toglas taking punishment in the form of punches.
Kim is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Toglas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Toglas takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Toglas is looking for a sweep. Kim is staying tight to Toglas's torso, preventing him from escaping. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kim lands a nice forearm strike. Kim cracks Toglas with a big right hand but Toglas just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's one minute gone in the round. Toglas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Toglas throws a combination that misses and Kim counters with a straight right hand. Toglas is breathing heavily. Kim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Toglas circles away quickly and effectively. Toglas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Kim misses the target. Toglas defending well as Kim loads up on a big left hand. Toglas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nice defenses there by Toglas. Hyun Kim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kim misses the body punch and Toglas counters with a series of strikes. Kim will be more careful next time no doubt. Kim displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Toglas throws a half hearted mid kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim throws a hook to the side of Toglas's head but Toglas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kim dodges the punch combination from Toglas.
Kim throws out a leg kick but Toglas moves out of range and Kim only half commits. Hyun Kim is winning the standup battle so far. Kim throws a leg kick that is checked and Toglas counters with a one-two to the body. Toglas throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. A jab from Kim does it's job there. Toglas swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kim counters with a nice body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Toglas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kim. Kim obviously looking to wear him down.
Kim drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kim content to stall in guard here. Kim is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim landing with the ground and pound. Kim wants to control from the top but Toglas keeps moving. Kim is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kim's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kim wants to pass the guard but Toglas is keeping the position. Kim works over Toglas with some ground and pound from guard. Toglas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kim trying to control but Toglas is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kim is in close to Toglas's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kim working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kim postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kim scoring with some ground and pound. Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but Toglas is retaining full guard. Toglas looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kim passes into half guard.

Toglas keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Toglas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Toglas's legs - danger averted. Toglas has momentary wrist control but Kim slips an elbow through the middle. Kim scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Toglas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kim passes Toglas's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim trying to control the action but Toglas is working from the bottom. Toglas actively working from the bottom here. Toglas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kim is trying to control. Toglas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kim scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kim lands strikes from half guard. Kim looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Toglas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kim seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. And that's the end of the fight! Hyun Kim showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kim has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
