Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franek Kimono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kana Takinoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Franek Kimono!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kana Takinoshi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takinoshi throws a nice looking combination but Kimono bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Takinoshi misses with a double jab.
Kimono chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kimono displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takinoshi throws out the jab.

Kimono sends Takinoshi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kimono is motioning to the referee to let Takinoshi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


It looks like Kana Takinoshi has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kimono wants to clinch up but Takinoshi keeps it at a distance.

Takinoshi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Takinoshi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kimono's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Kimono on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kimono tries to get out of the position.

Takinoshi lands a heavy elbow.
The referee warns Kimono that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Takinoshi in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Takinoshi won't let Kimono get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Takinoshi looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Kimono is squirming around, avoiding Takinoshi's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kimono is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Kimono is bucking up trying to escape but Takinoshi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Takinoshi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Takinoshi trying to control but Kimono is having none of it.
Kimono wants to try and get back to his feet.

Takinoshi working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Kimono really wants to buck Takinoshi off and get back to his feet.
Takinoshi putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Kimono knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takinoshi on the ground.
Takinoshi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kimono is looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takinoshi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Takinoshi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kimono is looking to escape.
Kimono is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Kimono bucks up and throws Takinoshi to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Kana Takinoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Takinoshi dives in and grabs Kimono's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kimono pushes down on Takinoshi's head and hops out.
Takinoshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kimono throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kimono connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kimono looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kimono tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takinoshi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck for Takinoshi with that takedown attempt.
Kimono lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kimono. That's going to slow Takinoshi down.
Kimono throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kimono is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franek Kimono dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kana Takinoshi's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kimono clobbers Takinoshi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Franek Kimono is winning the standup battle so far.

Kimono closes the distance and clinches.
Kimono gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Takinoshi.
Kimono stops a takedown attempt from Takinoshi.
Takinoshi tries for a takedown. No joy.
Franek Kimono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kana Takinoshi.

Kimono manages to break the clinch.
Kimono wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Takinoshi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A left lands for Kimono.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kimono lands a head kick. Takinoshi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kana Takinoshi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kimono throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Takinoshi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kimono. Kimono obviously looking to wear him down.
Takinoshi is breathing heavily.
Kimono scoring well with a low kick there.

Kimono tries to clinch up but Takinoshi circles away and keeps his distance.
Kimono cracks the inside of Takinoshi's front leg.
Kimono lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Takinoshi at a distance.
Kimono throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kimono wants to clinch.
Takinoshi misses the jab.
Takinoshi throws a combination that misses
and Kimono counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Takinoshi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kimono scores with a leg kick.
Kimono tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takinoshi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kimono lands a head kick. Takinoshi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick from Kimono lands but Takinoshi takes it in his stride.
Kimono ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kimono throws a head kick that Takinoshi semi-blocks.
Kimono lands a front kick.
Kimono is looking to clinch but Takinoshi is avoiding it.
Takinoshi misses with a straight right.
Takinoshi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kimono counters with a good low kick that Takinoshi was not able to check.
Kimono throws a head kick but Takinoshi moves out of range.
Takinoshi missing with a left hand there. Kimono was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kimono scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kimono looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kimono cracks Takinoshi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Takinoshi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kimono lands a nice looking kick to the body. Takinoshi takes a step back to recover.
Kimono tries to clinch but Takinoshi is having none of it.
Kimono throws a head kick that Takinoshi semi-blocks.
Takinoshi's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Kimono lands a nice leg kick that just misses Takinoshi's sensitive parts.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kimono.
Takinoshi circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kimono scores with a shot to the body.
Kimono wants to clinch.
Kimono throws a nice head kick!
Takinoshi throws a combination that misses
and Kimono counters with a good low kick that Takinoshi was not able to check.
Kimono dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Takinoshi. That did some damage!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kimono wants to clinch up but Takinoshi keeps it at a distance.
Kimono throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Takinoshi.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kimono darts in and clinches Takinoshi up against the cage.

Kimono breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kimono is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franek Kimono dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Kana Takinoshi's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Kimono bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kimono.
Takinoshi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Takinoshi shoots in but Kimono avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Takinoshi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kimono.

Kimono lands a big head kick that sends Takinoshi tumbling to the mat! Kimono takes a step backwards and waves Takinoshi back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Takinoshi is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kimono throws a quick head kick that knocks Takinoshi silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Kimono is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Franek Kimono!
