Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Crayzle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crayzle kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dropkick Murphys - Johnny I hardly knew ya. Ruas has chosen Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction as his entrance music. Jason Crayzle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Crayzle ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marco Ruas! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crayzle lands a jab to Ruas's midsection. Ruas gets the takedown into side control. Crayzle dodges the ground and pound from Ruas. Crayzle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ruas on the ground. Crayzle wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Ruas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Crayzle has escaped the position, nice work there. Crayzle is not content to let Ruas control the position. Crayzle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crayzle tries to get out of the position. Ruas prevents Crayzle from escaping the position. Crayzle trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Ruas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Crayzle sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Ruas throws a strike aimed at the side of Crayzle 's head but Crayzle avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Crayzle takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Crayzle is not content to let Ruas control the position. Ruas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Crayzle wants to get back to his feet but Ruas drags him back down. Ruas working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Ruas is looking to take a break and control but Crayzle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ruas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Crayzle is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ruas connects with a decent elbow. Crayzle tries to escape but Ruas is in control. Ruas in side control, throwing shots but Crayzle defends. Ruas trying to control the action but Crayzle is working from the bottom. Crayzle is trying to buck Ruas off.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Crayzle looks to score with a jab to the body but Ruas is just out of range. Ruas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crayzle was well out of range. Poor timing from Ruas. Ruas shoots in for a takedown but Crayzle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ruas slips a jab and a cross from Crayzle .
Jason Crayzle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Ruas or perhaps it was just good defense by Crayzle which made him look bad. Crayzle throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Crayzle . Crayzle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

It looks like Marco Ruas has been cut. Ruas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Crayzle . Ruas slips under a jab. Crayzle misses with a few strikes there.
Crayzle throws a hook but Ruas blocks it. The fighters circling - Ruas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Crayzle throws a jab when Ruas was well out of range. Crayzle avoids the body shot from Ruas.
Ruas lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ruas. Ruas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crayzle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Crayzle thuds his right hand into Ruas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Crayzle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jason Crayzle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Ruas. Ruas drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ruas looks gassed! Crayzle wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruas in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Crayzle is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Ruas throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ruas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Crayzle wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The strikes coming from Ruas are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Crayzle is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ruas asserts his dominance and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marco Ruas will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Marco Ruas's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Ruas counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ruas trying to control the position from guard on top but Crayzle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crayzle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ruas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Crayzle manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Crayzle moves away from the strike by Ruas. Ruas takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A telegraphed right hand from Ruas misses the target. Crayzle moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Crayzle takes a swing at Ruas's ribcage but misses. Ruas scores a takedown into full mount! Ruas is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crayzle is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Crayzle is trying to get back to his feet. Ruas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Crayzle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ruas but great work by Crayzle . Crayzle decides to stand back up.

Crayzle throws a right hand that Ruas ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruas also avoids with ease. Crayzle throws an overhand right that lands on Ruas's shoulder, as Ruas tries to avoid the shot. Crayzle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Crayzle throws a looping overhand right but Ruas ducks down to avoid it. Crayzle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ruas manages to avoid it. Ruas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crayzle defends it nicely. Crayzle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruas wants to free his trapped foot but Crayzle is holding on for dear life with his legs. Crayzle keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Crayzle kicks Ruas off and gets back to his feet. Ruas scores with a body shot.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crayzle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ruas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ruas punishes Crayzle 's body with a nice straight punch. Crayzle swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ruas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ruas. Crayzle is looking to break free of the clinch but Ruas has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Ruas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Marco Ruas's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ruas is in close to Crayzle 's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ruas works a leg free and moves into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Crayzle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Crayzle wants to get up but he can't break Ruas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ruas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crayzle defends it easily. Crayzle tries to stand but Ruas is controlling from the bottom. Ruas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ruas is trying to work for a kimura but Crayzle is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Crayzle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ruas has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Crayzle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ruas moves away from the strike by Crayzle .
