Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Method Man - Bring da Pain. Gracie comes into a darkened arena with his song building. disturbed - down with the sickness kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Gracie! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gracie looks to land a left hand but Jackson moved out of range nicely. Jimmy Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Gracie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gracie dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jackson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Gracie is avoiding damage well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jackson off and has taken his back! Gracie goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Jackson escapes and is now in half guard on top. Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jackson. Gracie wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jackson lands with a punch from half guard. Jackson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jackson. Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Jackson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Gracie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jackson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jackson trying to control from half guard but Gracie is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gracie is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. Jackson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jackson with a nice head shot there. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gracie working for a triangle but Jackson defends it easily.
Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson! Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jackson wants to try and get back to his feet. Jackson wants to hold on but Gracie pushes him away. Jackson tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control. Gracie looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
It looks like Jimmy Jackson has been cut. Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Jackson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jimmy Jackson's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A punch combination from Gracie misses. Jackson throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range. Jackson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet. Gracie misses the shot to the body. Jackson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gracie. Gracie sizes up Jackson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Jackson misses the shot to the body. Gracie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie. Gracie with a nice cross. Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Gracie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie. Gracie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jackson defending well though. Gracie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gracie stops Jackson from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jackson with a lazy takedown attempt and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard. Jackson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gracie. Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss. Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jackson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jackson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jackson!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. Jackson moves into full mount! Jackson working the ground and pound effectively.
Jackson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gracie hang on? Gracie really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is bucking up trying to escape but Jackson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gracie is breathing heavily. Jackson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Gracie regains half guard. Jackson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Jackson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it. Jackson takes the fight into the clinch. Gracie tries to break free but Jackson pushes him back against the cage. Jackson tries to score a body lock takedown but Gracie shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Jackson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gracie prevents it.
Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage. Jackson wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Gracie throws a lazy right hand but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Gracie. Jackson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Jackson misses with a looping left. Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jackson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Jackson wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it. Jackson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gracie taking some punishment here, with Jackson in his half guard. Jackson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jackson trying to control the action but Gracie is working from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gracie manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jackson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jackson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Jimmy Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gracie is looking to sinch up a triangle. Jackson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Jackson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
