The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pellegrino stuffs the takedown attempt from Yung. Yung gets slowly back to his feet.
Yung scores with a head kick.
Pellegrino shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Yung is looking to improve his position.

Pellegrino content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pellegrino wants to work for an arm triangle but Yung is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yung is staying active underneath Pellegrino, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pellegrino throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yung sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Yung misses with a takedown
and Pellegrino counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yung's guard now.
Pellegrino is sitting in close to Yung's body. Yung has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pellegrino is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pellegrino is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Yung.
