The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fet tries for a takedown but Vega sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fet shoots in but no luck this time.
Vega is looking to clinch but Fet is avoiding it.

Vega misses with a series of wild punches.
Vega has a takedown stuffed.
Fet feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fet is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fet is desperately trying to improve his position but Vega has a good base and remains in mount.
Fet's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Riktigt Fet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

so Vega counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fet preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Fet avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vega.
