Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Waldo Cezar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Sofa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cezar's entrance music is Three 6 Mafia - It's A Fight. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cezar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sofa throws a front kick aimed at Cezar's knee but Cezar avoids it well.
Cezar slips a jab and a cross from Sofa.
Sofa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cezar fails with the takedown.
Sofa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Sofa gets caught flat footed, as Cezar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Cezar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cezar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sofa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cezar gets to his feet - Sofa follows without any prompting.

Sofa throws a right hand that Cezar ducks under and follows up with a left that Cezar also avoids with ease.
Cezar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sofa circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Waldo Cezar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A combination from Sofa does no damage.
Cezar avoids a punch combination nicely.

Cezar feints and as Sofa raises his hands in defense, Cezar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sofa doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Cezar prevents Sofa from getting back to his feet.
Sofa throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Sofa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cezar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cezar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sofa's waist but Sofa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cezar off to one side.
Cezar is breathing heavily.
Sofa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sofa throws a right and a left that Cezar avoids nicely.
Cezar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Cezar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cezar showed some decent athleticism there.

Cezar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Cezar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sofa defends it well.
