The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rafferty catches Teppo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
No joy there for Teppo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Teppo Teppo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rafferty avoids a kick to the body.
Rafferty ducks under a wild hook from Teppo.
Rafferty throws a good cross that connects.
Rafferty misses the shot to the body.
Teppo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Teppo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Rafferty scores with a hook to the body. Teppo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rafferty darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Teppo lands a head shot.

Rafferty is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Oh Teppo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rafferty just misses with a punch to the body.
Rafferty displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Teppo throws out the jab.

Teppo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Teppo misses with a two punch combination.
Rafferty swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Teppo.
Rafferty dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Teppo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rafferty works Teppo's body with a nice hook.
Rafferty lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rafferty cracks Teppo on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Teppo falls backwards against the ropes. Rafferty follows up with more strikes that drop Teppo to his knees. Rafferty keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Teppo! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Rafferty!
