Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Holden Hallister! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, AJ Pencil! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pencil swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hallister throws a leg kick which misses Pencil's front leg but catches the back leg as Pencil tries to avoid it. Hallister misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hallister tries a head kick but it misses.
Pencil misses with a two punch combination.
Hallister tries to score with a low kick but Pencil moves his leg out of the way. Hallister scores with a leg kick.
Hallister connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Pencil avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Hallister really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hallister connects with a high kick.
It looks like AJ Pencil has been cut. Hallister swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pencil looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hallister! Pencil wants to finish this one by submission but Hallister is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pencil. Hallister tries to hold on but Pencil postures up. Pencil controlling the position easily from mount. Hallister is desperately trying to improve his position but Pencil has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pencil trying to control but Hallister is having none of it. Pencil looking to control and managing it successfully. Pencil has control of Hallister's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hallister regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hallister tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hallister wants to get back to his feet.
Hallister wants to control but Pencil is having none of it. Pencil is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hallister is surviving well by controlling Pencil's body position as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hallister is looking to improve his position but Pencil isn't that keen on the idea. Hallister is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Hallister wants to hold on but Pencil pushes him away. Pencil is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Pencil!
