Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bright tests Hunt's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bright shoots in and drives through. Hunt sprawls well. Bright bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hunt sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Hunt trying to control but Bright postures up.
Hunt tries to get to full guard but Bright has control of the leg. Hunt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hunt trying to get back to full guard but Bright takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Hunt is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt wants to hold on but Bright pushes him away. Hunt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bright takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hunt wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Hunt rolls, trying to escape but Bright keeps control of the position.
Hunt looks gassed! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Bright has the hooks in. Hunt is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Hunt trying to control but not successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt can't escape the position.
Good control from Bright. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bright is trying to stick to Hunt's back but Hunt is turning into Bright. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bright's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hunt. Hunt is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bright is pulling down on Hunt's head. It's preventing any offense from Hunt, at least for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hunt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bright swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hunt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bright is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hunt, into his guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hunt working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bright has passed into half guard!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Bright dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bright changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hunt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hunt tries to bench press Bright off him but Bright keeps the position. You can see the frustration on Hunt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hunt manages to get back to half guard. Hunt tries to get to full guard but Bright has control of the leg. Hunt looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt tries to roll over but Bright keeps him under control. Hunt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunt. Hunt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bright has passed into side control.
Hunt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hunt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bright is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bright is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hunt is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bright gets the takedown into side control. Bright controlling from side mount. Hunt can't do much from the bottom here. Bright is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hunt's shoulder. That is not cool. Hunt is looking for a sweep. Bright controlling the position from side mount. Bright gets to mount! Hunt was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bright takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hunt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Bright dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bright scores with a takedown into Hunt's guard. Hunt trying to keep a closed guard but Bright is proving a slippery customer.
Hunt wants to sweep but no luck. Hunt is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hunt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bright controls the pace. Hunt lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bright! Hunt trying to control but Bright is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Hunt goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bright turns into him and now he's in Hunt's guard.
Hunt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bright postures up.
Hunt wants to sweep here but Bright controlling him for the moment. Hunt is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bright in particular looking to stall. Bright seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hunt for as long as he can get away with. Hunt actively working from the bottom here. Bright is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunt on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hunt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Bright showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bright has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
