Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Shannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claude LaCroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shannigan comes to the cage accompanied by Slaughtered. LaCroix has chosen Sash - Encore Une Fois as his entrance music. Claude LaCroix has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannigan connects with a right hand. LaCroix shakes it off.
Shannigan takes a swing at LaCroix's ribcage but misses.

LaCroix fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shannigan manages to avoid it.

Shannigan throws a series of punches but LaCroix moves out of range.
Shannigan blocks a head kick by LaCroix.
Shannigan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
LaCroix throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shannigan was covering up waiting for the punch and LaCroix finishes the takedown easily into guard.
LaCroix looking to sit in guard and control but Shannigan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Shannigan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
LaCroix closes the distance and pushes Shannigan back into the cage.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shannigan checks a leg kick.
LaCroix dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shannigan. That did some damage!
LaCroix misses with an uppercut.
LaCroix shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. LaCroix showed some decent athleticism there.
Shannigan wants to control but LaCroix is keeping busy and won't allow it.
LaCroix prevents Shannigan from improving his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Shannigan will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Shannigan lands with an uppercut that bounces LaCroix off the cage and back into rage.

Shannigan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
LaCroix ducks under a wild hook from Shannigan.

and LaCroix counters with a left to the body.

LaCroix dips to his left and cracks Shannigan with an uppercut!
A decent looking body kick lands there for LaCroix.
Shannigan looks to score with a jab to the body but LaCroix is just out of range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shannigan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

LaCroix shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shannigan but Shannigan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Shannigan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

LaCroix shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, LaCroix cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
LaCroix has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Shannigan tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Poor strikes thrown by LaCroix there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Claude LaCroix showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

LaCroix does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A punch lands to the side of Shannigan 's head but he takes it in his stride.
LaCroix tests Shannigan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Shannigan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by LaCroix.
LaCroix rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shannigan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shannigan tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

LaCroix wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Claude LaCroix comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think LaCroix has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
