Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Figura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Figura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Wright!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figura tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wright swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wright tries a head kick but it misses.
Wright defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Figura.
Figura cracks the inside of Wright's front leg.
Brian Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Figura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wright sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Figura somewhat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wright.
Figura moves into the clinch successfully.
Wright is pushing Figura up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Wright's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Figura shoots for a takedown but Wright saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Figura seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Figura is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Figura shoots in looking for a takedown. Wright tries to sprawl out of it but Figura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wright manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Figura shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wright's guard.

Figura is working for an americana but Wright has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Figura was thinking about the submission.
Figura wants to control from the top but Wright keeps moving.
Figura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wright on the ground.
Figura gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Figura changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wright tries to avoid it but Figura manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wright to the ground. Wright escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wright lands a big head kick that sends Figura tumbling to the mat! Wright takes a step backwards and waves Figura back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Figura is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Max Figura has been cut.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A frustrated look appears on Figura's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Figura drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wright pulls his leg out and moves away.
Figura decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
