Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lev Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hank 3 - Pills I took kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lev Meyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brett Miller! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meyer gets a takedown into half guard. Meyer is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Miller still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Miller has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Miller decides to stand up, so the ref orders Meyer to his feet. Meyer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Miller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Meyer goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Meyer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Miller tries to clinch but Meyer is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Meyer, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Meyer against the cage but Meyer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Meyer scores with a head kick.
Meyer lands a head kick. Miller smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Meyer drives through with a takedown into guard. Meyer stops Miller from standing up. Miller keeping full guard, as Meyer tries to pass. Miller throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Miller trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Meyer looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Meyer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Meyer is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller stands and throws Meyer's legs to the side, diving into side control. Miller is working Meyer over with some ground and pound from side control. Meyer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Meyer is trying to control but can't.
Miller stands up from half guard. Meyer drives through with a takedown into guard. Miller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Miller manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Meyer sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Miller throwing shots but Meyer is blocking nicely. Meyer is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Miller pulls his head out easily. Meyer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Meyer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meyer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Meyer has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Miller throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Meyer working for a triangle but Miller defends it easily.

Lev Meyer dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Miller fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nice takedown defense from Miller. No joy for Meyer on that attempt. Meyer scores a takedown into full mount! Meyer is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Miller fails to land the takedown. Meyer goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Meyer throws a head kick that Miller semi-blocks.
Meyer scores with a takedown into Miller's guard. Meyer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Miller, up you get! Meyer shoots in but no luck this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Meyer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lev Meyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Meyer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Meyer tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meyer trying to control the action but Miller is working from the bottom. Meyer controls the position. Meyer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Meyer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Meyer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyer decides to take the fight back to the feet. Meyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Meyer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Miller dives on top into guard. Miller throws and elbow that misses. Meyer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Miller's guard. Nice move by Meyer! Meyer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Miller is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Meyer! BOOM! Miller connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Miller sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Miller looking to finish with strikes here!
Meyer tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Meyer gets back to half guard. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Meyer here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Meyer keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Miller slips a nice elbow through Meyer's hands, connecting with Meyer's forehead. Miller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Meyer is looking to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller passes to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lev Meyer dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Miller misses with a takedown attempt and Meyer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Miller's guard. Meyer trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Meyer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller sneaks out the side door and pushes Meyer away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Left hook, right uppercut from Meyer. Meyer tries a head kick but it misses.
Meyer shoots for a takedown but Miller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Meyer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Miller sprawls well initially but Meyer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Meyer is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Miller has managed to free his arm - good work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Miller moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wriggles free and stands up. Meyer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Meyer goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Miller has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Meyer but great work by Miller. Meyer tries to improve position but can't. Meyer sneaks back into half guard. Meyer gets back to full guard.
Lev Meyer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Meyer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meyer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miller manages to get himself to full guard.
Meyer won't allow Miller to sweep him here. Meyer trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Meyer's guard. Miller in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Miller throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Meyer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Meyer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Meyer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Meyer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Meyer has a closed guard, preventing Miller from standing up. Miller throws and elbow that misses. Meyer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Miller's guard. Nice move by Meyer! Meyeris looking to pass into half guard but Miller pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Miller is in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Lev Meyer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Meyer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
