Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Senior KneeBum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KneeBum dives in and grabs Kelly's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kelly pushes down on KneeBum's head and hops out.

Kelly fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. KneeBum sprawls well initially but Kelly persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kelly is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kelly keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
KneeBum wants to control but Kelly is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
KneeBum works his way to full guard. Good work.

Kelly stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Kelly closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kelly creates some space and throws a big elbow, but KneeBum sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Kelly takes a little break here. KneeBum wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Kelly fails to land a wild elbow strike.

KneeBum tries to improve position but can't.
KneeBum seems a little lost for a moment, as Kelly dominates the positioning.
KneeBum is looking for a sweep.

Kelly is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, KneeBum has escaped the position, nice work there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kelly is looking to clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
KneeBum has his takedown stuffed

and Kelly counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Kelly is thwarting KneeBum's attempts to control the position.

KneeBum is defending against the submission attempts here by Kelly.
Kelly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with KneeBum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kelly stands up and beckons KneeBum to join him on the feet.
Kelly takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kelly wants to clinch up but KneeBum keeps it at a distance.

Kelly darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Kelly shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

KneeBum is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kelly pulls his head out easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kelly works his way into side control.
You can see the frustration on KneeBum's face as Kelly controls the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tim Kelly just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kelly is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kelly tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

KneeBum takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Kelly takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kelly forces the positional change into back control.
Kelly softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Kelly lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can KneeBum hold on?!

KneeBum is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kelly.
Kelly's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee is taking a good look at KneeBum as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Kelly!

Let's hope that Kelly has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Tim Kelly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Kelly shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. KneeBum is trying to defend but Kelly finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looks like Kelly is going to stand back up.
Kelly works his foot free and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tim Kelly comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kelly has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
