Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Sams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bairy Halls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Will Sams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bairy Halls! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halls clinches up with Sams and pushes him back against the cage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Sams is working for takedown but Halls is calmly controlling the position for now. Sams is trying to break free. Sams looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Halls ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Halls no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Sams trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sams trying to control but Halls is working from the bottom. Sams stops Halls from standing up. Halls punching from the bottom - just letting Sams know he's still in a fight. Halls trying to keep a closed guard but Sams is proving a slippery customer.
Halls is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sams is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halls wriggles free and stands up. Halls blocks a head kick by Sams.
Halls shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sams manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Sams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Halls gets to his feet. Sams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Sams tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Halls is able to avoid easily. Halls defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sams. Halls instigates a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Halls as Sams tries to tie him up. Halls pulls guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halls is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sams wants to control from the top but Halls keeps moving. Halls should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Halls escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sams trying to control but Halls is working from the bottom. Halls manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Halls throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Sams as Halls shoots in. An inside leg kick lands from Halls. Bairy Halls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Halls feints and as Sams raises his hands in defense, Halls changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Halls gets to his feet. Sams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Halls forces Sams back against the cage and clinches. Halls turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Sams is looking to regain half guard here but Halls keeps moving and retains side control. Halls trying to control the position but Sams is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sams is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Halls trying to control the position but Sams is working away. Sams wants to control but Halls postures up. Halls landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sams tries for a takedown but Halls circles away easily and Halls counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bairy Halls dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sams wants to clinch and Halls counters with a straight right hand. Halls will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Halls shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sams sprawls well. Sams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Halls gets slowly back to his feet. Sams shoots in for a double leg but Halls sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A jab from Halls misses. Halls throws a right and a left that Sams avoids nicely. Sams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Halls's guard. Halls had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sams defends it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sams wants to pass the guard but Halls is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sams trying to control the position from guard on top but Halls is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sams preventing the sweep. Sams trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Halls manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Halls slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Halls decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Halls fails with an attempt to clinch.
Halls closes the distance and clinches up with Sams, looking for a takedown. Halls pushes Sams against the cage but Sams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Will Sams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bairy Halls. Sams throws a head kick but Halls moves out of range.
Sams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A nice leg kick lands there from Halls. Halls forces Sams back against the cage and clinches. Halls works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Halls stands and throws Sams's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sams managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Halls.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halls stands up. Sams tries to clinch but fails miserably and Halls counters by clinching up. Sams misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Halls is trying to trip Sams. He has hold of a leg but Sams is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Halls persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Sams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Halls is controlling him. Sams keeping full guard, as Halls tries to pass. Sams looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Halls works a leg free and moves into half guard. Sams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sams tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Halls prevents Sams from improving his position. Halls is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sams sees it coming and defends easily. Halls tries to pass to full mount but Sams defends it. Sams wants to control but Halls is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Halls scores with a takedown into Sams's guard. Halls trying to control but Sams is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bairy Halls showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Halls throws a right and a left that both miss. Sams misses with a body kick. Halls avoids the body shot from Sams.
Sams stuffs the takedown attempt from Halls. Halls gets slowly back to his feet. Sams tries to clinch up and Halls counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sams is trying to get back to full guard. Halls is taking a breather. Sams says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sams is trying to control but Halls manages to pass to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sams's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Sams is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sams tries to lock up and control but Halls gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Halls controlling from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sams wants to hold on but Halls pushes him away. Halls is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sams can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sams can't escape the position.
Halls cracks Sams with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Halls cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Halls controlling the position easily from mount. Halls lands a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halls wants to control the pace but Sams is squirming around nicely. Halls might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sams kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Bairy Halls has got the better of the ground game so far. Halls is in the full mount, landing strikes. Halls with a couple of short strikes. Sams is squirming around, avoiding Halls's attempts to control the action. Sams tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Sams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Halls on the ground. Sams is looking to get to half guard. Halls cracks Sams with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Halls pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Sams is trying to stand. Sams is squirming around, avoiding Halls's attempts to control the action. Will Sams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bairy Halls is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Halls with shots to the head and body - Sams looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that's the end of the fight! Bairy Halls comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Halls has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
