Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorje Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slayer comes to the cage accompanied by Otep - Battle Ready. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorje Slayer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cole Hoffman! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slayer checks a leg kick. Slayer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hoffman to the mat! Hoffman manages to get full guard. Slayer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hoffman keeping moving, preventing Slayer from controlling successfully. Slayer controls from within his opponent's guard. Hoffman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Slayer preventing the sweep. Slayer is fighting to break Hoffman's control of his arms but Hoffman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hoffman keeping moving, preventing Slayer from controlling successfully. Hoffman trying to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoffman has his foot on Slayer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slayer works his way back into a safe position though. Slayer drops back looking for a leg! Hoffman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hoffman manages to kick Slayer off! Slayer jumps back into Hoffman's guard. Slayer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hoffman trying to control the position here. Hoffman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Slayer trying to control but Hoffman is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hoffman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slayer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slayer is looking to reverse the position. Hoffman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Slayer to his feet. Slayer with a poor takedown and Hoffman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Slayer working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hoffman has passed into half guard!
Hoffman is looking to take a break and control but Slayer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slayer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hoffman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hoffman's back! Slayer tries to get the hooks in deep but Hoffman pushed the leg off. Slayer somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Slayer is breathing heavily. Hoffman rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Hoffman is refusing to be controlled, as Slayer sits in half guard. Hoffman is defending against the submission attempts here by Slayer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Slayer drives through with a takedown into guard. Slayer passes Hoffman's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoffman is refusing to be controlled, as Slayer sits in half guard. Slayer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hoffman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Slayer. Hoffman works his way to full guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Hoffman dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Slayer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hoffman counters with a head kick. That will keep Slayer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Hoffman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Slayer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hoffman tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Slayer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hoffman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Slayer is working hard here to advance position. A control attempt from Slayer but he's now mounted! Hoffman wants to control the pace but Slayer is squirming around nicely. Slayer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hoffman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoffman trying to control but he's not successful this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Slayer wants to control but Hoffman is having none of it. Hoffman looking to control but Slayer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hoffman thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Slayer regains half guard. Slayer wants to get back to full guard. Slayer wants to control but Hoffman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hoffman trying to control the action but Slayer is working from the bottom. Hoffman passes to full mount! Slayer wants to control but Hoffman is having none of it. Slayer is working to get back to half guard.
Slayer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Slayer wants to pass the guard but Hoffman is keeping the position. Slayer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoffman working a defensive guard here.
Slayer looking to sit in guard and control but Hoffman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hoffman drops back, looking for a kneebar! Slayer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Slayer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Slayer! Hoffman wants to control but Slayer postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hoffman sneaks back into half guard. Hoffman wants to get back to his feet.
Hoffman gets full guard. Hoffman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Slayer wants to control but Hoffman passes into side.
Hoffman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Slayer has escaped the position, nice work there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hoffman fails to land a wild elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Hoffman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hoffman throws a body kick that misses. Hoffman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Slayer trying to control but Hoffman postures up.
Still in half guard, Hoffman seems content to control. Slayer trying to control here.
Hoffman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Slayer is trying to get back to full guard. Hoffman moves nicely into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Slayer is looking to regain half guard here but Hoffman keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoffman grinds an elbow into Slayer's temple. Hoffman in the domination position with Slayer hanging on. Slayer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hoffman kicks Slayer off and gets back to his feet. Hoffman tries to clinch there but Slayer circles away.

Slayer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Slayer working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hoffman has passed into half guard!
Slayer wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoffman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Slayer tries to get to full guard but Hoffman has control of the leg. Hoffman content to control rather than advance. Hoffman moves into full mount! Slayer won't be happy about that! Hoffman prevents Slayer from getting the reversal. Hoffman looking to control but Slayer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slayer regains half guard. Hoffman trying to control from half guard but Slayer is working away. Slayer is trying to maintain the position but Hoffman is very close to passing his half guard. Slayer is looking to improve his position.
Slayer is staying active underneath Hoffman, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Slayer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoffman is working away from the top position though. Slayer gets full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hoffman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slayer is proving hard to escape from. Hoffman stands up and waves to Slayer to follow him. Hoffman doesn't manage to clinch there - Slayer circles away.
A head kick misses from Hoffman. Slayer tries to clinch and Hoffman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Slayer won't be happy with that. Slayer is being controlled here. Hoffman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hoffman. Jorje Slayer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slayer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hoffman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Cole Hoffman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hoffman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
