Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Synyster Gates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gates has chosen Nightmare as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Synyster Gates will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Synyster Gates!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Charlie Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gates looks to land a right hand but Chase moved out of range.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gates can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chase changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gates tries to avoid it but Chase manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gates to the ground. Gates escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gates might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Chase dives in and grabs Gates's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gates pushes down on Chase's head and hops out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Synyster Gates showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oh Chase is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gates throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chase on the side of the head.

Synyster Gates comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gates winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
