Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Skwisgaar Skwigelf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Hatton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skwigelf comes to the cage accompanied by Bloodrocuted. Hatton is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bret Hart theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Skwisgaar Skwigelf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bret Hatton! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Skwigelf sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hatton avoids the body shot from Skwigelf.
Skwigelf looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Skwisgaar Skwigelf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Skwigelf looks for the body kick but Hatton saw that one coming. Hatton clinches up with Skwigelf and pushes him back against the cage. Skwigelf is trying to force a seperation but Hatton has the dominant position. Skwigelf is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hatton fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hatton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Skwigelf smiles and moves away.
Skwisgaar Skwigelf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Hatton. Skwigelf ducks under a wild hook from Hatton. Skwigelf looks to land a left hand but Hatton moved out of range nicely. Skwigelf motions for Hatton to come forward. Skwigelf throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Skwigelf jabs at Hatton's body. Skwigelf looks to score with a jab to the body but Hatton is just out of range. Hatton throws a head kick that misses. A swing and a miss from Skwigelf.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skwigelf throws a leg kick but Hatton checks it. Skwigelf slaps away a takedown attempt from Hatton, before circling back to the center of the mat. A combination from Skwigelf does no damage. Skwigelf throws a jab when Hatton was well out of range. Skwigelf throws a leg kick that misses. Hatton walks into a left hand. Hatton checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Hatton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Skwigelf moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Skwigelf tries to bum rush Hatton with a series of wild strikes but Hatton uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Skwigelf takes a swing at Hatton's ribcage but misses. Skwigelf throws a right and a left that Hatton avoids nicely. Skwigelf throws a hook but Hatton avoids it easily. Skwigelf throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hatton stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Skwigelf tries to bum rush Hatton with a series of wild strikes but Hatton uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hatton throws a nice looking combination but Skwigelf bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skwigelf looks to land a left hand but Hatton moved out of range nicely. Skwigelf takes a swing at Hatton's ribcage but misses. Hatton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Skwigelf buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Skwigelf throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Skwigelf tests Hatton's chin there with a solid looking shot. Skwigelf throws a jab but it's blocked by Hatton. Skwigelf misses the jab. Hatton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice straight punches there by Skwigelf. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Skwigelf. Hatton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Skwigelf. Hatton looks to land a body kick but Skwigelf moved away. Skwigelf throws a lazy right hand but Hatton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skwigelf cracks the inside of Hatton's front leg. Hatton keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Skwigelf throws the left hand but Hatton avoids the punch easily. Skwigelf throws a wild body kick that Hatton sees coming a mile off. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Skwigelf!
Skwigelf tries to work over Hatton's front leg with a kick but Hatton checks it. Hatton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Skwigelf throws a push kick but Hatton slaps the foot to one side. Skwigelf misses the shot to the body. A combination from Hatton does no damage. Skwigelf throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hatton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hatton looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hatton seems to be working for a kimura but Skwigelf defends the submission attempt. Hatton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hatton looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skwigelf slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hatton stopping the sweep attempt from Skwigelf. Hatton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hatton slips nicely into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Hatton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Skwisgaar Skwigelf dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Skwigelf scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hatton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Skwigelf tries to score with a low kick but Hatton moves his leg out of the way. Hatton fails in his attempt to clinch. Skwigelf looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hatton is fending him off so far but Skwigelf persists. Nope, Hatton circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hatton looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Hatton throws a right and a left that both miss. Hatton misses with a hook. Skwigelf ducked under it nicely. Hatton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Skwigelf as he avoids it easily. Bret Hatton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Skwigelf throws a solid leg kick but Hatton takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Skwigelf.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skwigelf walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hatton. Hatton shoots in for a double leg but Skwigelf sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hatton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Skwigelf slips a jab and a cross from Hatton.
A jab from Skwigelf misses. Skwigelf takes a swing at Hatton's ribcage but misses. Skwigelf works Hatton's body with a nice hook. Horrible takedown by Hatton or perhaps it was just good defense by Skwigelf which made him look bad. Skwisgaar Skwigelf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Hatton. Hatton is breathing heavily. Skwigelf lands with an uppercut that bounces Hatton off the cage and back into rage. Hatton feints and as Skwigelf raises his hands in defense, Hatton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Skwigelf looking to control.

Skwigelf is trying to control the position but Hatton postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skwigelf looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hatton is one step ahead there. Skwigelf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hatton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hatton has gone for a leg lock! Skwigelf slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hatton's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Skwigelf is pushing down on Hatton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hatton is fighting to maintain full guard but Skwigelf has managed to sneak the leg through. Skwigelf seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hatton is looking for a sweep. Skwigelf is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Skwigelf not doing much here.
Hatton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatton won't allow Skwigelf to pass to mount. Hatton looks like he's trying to stand up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Skwigelf connects with a nice short shot to Hatton's temple. Skwigelf working Hatton over with strikes. Hatton gets full guard. Hatton can't keep his opponent in guard - Skwigelf advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hatton is trying to get back to full guard. Skwigelf is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Skwigelf trying to control the action but Hatton is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skwigelf working the head and body with strikes. Skwigelf is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hatton! Hatton gets back to half guard. Hatton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Skwigelf pulls his head out easily. Skwigelf looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hatton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Skwigelf's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Skwigelf's back! Skwigelf controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Skwigelf trying to control the position but Hatton manages to sink in the hooks. Hatton looking to break Skwigelf's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Skwigelf remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hatton will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Skwigelf manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hatton's guard. Nice work there by Skwigelf.

Skwisgaar Skwigelf dominated that second round. That's time! Skwigelf's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Jab, jab by Skwigelf - just one landing. Skwigelf lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hatton at a distance.
Skwigelf cracks a nice hook into Hatton's ribs. Skwigelf misses with a looping right. Skwigelf scores with a three punch combo!
Skwigelf scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hatton doesn't seem bothered though. Hatton takes one on the button. Skwigelf ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hatton moves away. Skwigelf scores with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Skwigelf pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Skwigelf connects with a body shot. Hatton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hatton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hatton swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hatton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hatton moves out of range as Skwigelf strikes. Skwigelf darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Skwigelf lands with a punch from half guard. Hatton on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hatton tries to get to full guard but Skwigelf has control of the leg. Skwigelf is nestled in close to Hatton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hatton has hold of Skwigelf's hands but Skwigelf slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Skwisgaar Skwigelf overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Skwigelf lands strikes from half guard. Skwigelf trying to control the action but Hatton is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Skwigelf prevents Hatton from improving his position. Skwigelf lands with a punch from half guard. Hatton is looking to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Skwigelf lands a nice short elbow. Skwigelf working Hatton over with strikes. Hatton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Skwigelf stands up out of the half guard. Bret Hatton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skwigelf lands with a nice body punch. A bone on bone clash there as Hatton blocks the leg kick.
Skwigelf connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. A big right from Skwigelf misses. Skwigelf with a nice cross. Hatton showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Skwigelf.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hatton checks a leg kick. Hatton has his takedown stuffed and Skwigelf counters with a nice leg kick. Skwigelf bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hatton's head backwards. Skwisgaar Skwigelf is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skwigelf cracks Hatton with a good jab. Hatton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Skwigelf thows a body shot but no joy. Hatton doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hatton with a lazy takedown attempt and Skwigelf makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Hatton takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Skwigelf throws a hook but Hatton avoids it easily. Skwigelf throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Hatton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hatton throws an overhand right that lands on Skwigelf's shoulder, as Skwigelf tries to avoid the shot. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Skwigelf has a takedown stuffed. Skwigelf lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hatton circles away quickly and effectively.
And that's the end of the fight! Skwisgaar Skwigelf showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Skwigelf, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
