Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Lui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dallas Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dallas Delgado has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeffrey Lui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dallas Delgado!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delgado takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Delgado shoots in and drives through. Lui sprawls well.
Delgado shoots in but no luck this time.
A combination from Lui does no damage.
Lui misses with a wild body shot.
Lui drops Delgado with a left right combo! Lui follows him down to the ground into side control.


Delgado is rocked!


It looks like Dallas Delgado has been cut.
Lui prevents Delgado from escaping the position.
Delgado is still on wobbly legs! Can Lui finish him?
Delgado trying to control the action but Lui is working from the bottom.
Delgado seems to have recovered his senses.

Lui ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Delgado moves away.

Delgado thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lui can't do much from the bottom here.

Delgado decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lui to his feet.

Delgado forces Lui back against the cage and clinches.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Delgado keeps control of Lui as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Delgado prevents Lui from breaking the clinch.
Delgado tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lui smiles and moves away.

Delgado shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lui's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Delgado gets to his feet. Lui looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lui keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Delgado looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lui!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Delgado wants to get back to his feet but Lui is holding on tight.

Delgado goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lui turns into him and now he's in Delgado's guard.
Delgado has control of Lui's left arm, preventing Lui from doing any damage.
Delgado is breathing heavily.

Delgado has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lui is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Delgado.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Delgado gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Delgado is looking to control Lui's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Delgado avoid being mounted?

Delgado tries to roll over but Lui keeps him under control.
Delgado wants to stand back up but Lui manages to pass into side control.
Delgado is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Lui is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Delgado is looking to improve his position but Lui isn't that keen on the idea.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lui has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeffrey Lui will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dallas Delgado's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Delgado closes the distance and clinches up with Lui, looking for a takedown. Delgado pushes Lui against the cage but Lui circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Delgado.

Lui fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Delgado manages to avoid it.
Delgado wants to clinch up but Lui keeps it at a distance.
Lui walks forward, straight into a front kick from Delgado.
Lui swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Delgado shoots in but Lui avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lui fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Delgado manages to avoid it.

Lui swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Delgado looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lui jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Delgado throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lui's waist but Lui gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Delgado off to one side.
Lui looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Delgado tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lui swivels and escapes.
Delgado uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lui.

so Delgado counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lui can't keep his opponent in guard - Delgado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Delgado is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lui is just riding it out for now. Delgado eventually gives up the hold.
Delgado is taking a breather. Lui says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jeffrey Lui showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lui, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
