Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Trevor Breaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Elliott Dorey! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Breaker. Dorey does a little dance to reset his feet. Breaker pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nice sprawl there from Breaker as Dorey shoots in. Trevor Breaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Breaker on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dorey. Dorey obviously looking to wear him down.
Breaker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Breaker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Dorey gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Elliott Dorey has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Breaker looks to land a left hand but Dorey moved out of range nicely. Breaker just misses with a punch to the body.
Dorey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Breaker. Breaker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dorey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Breaker sprawls well initially but Dorey persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dorey is trying a forearm choke
I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Breaker is looking to control Dorey's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Breaker avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Dorey seems content to control. Breaker is trying to control but can't.
Breaker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dorey. Dorey is trying to work for a kimura but Breaker is defending well.
Dorey decides to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dorey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dorey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Breaker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Dorey looks gassed! Breaker lands a jab. Breaker lands a jab to the head.
Breaker scores with a hook to the body. Dorey takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Breaker feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dorey sprawling to the canvas! Dorey rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Breaker finish him?!
Breaker lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Dorey - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Breaker!
