The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parts tests Bates's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bates missing with a left hand there. Parts was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Parts loads up on a big right hand but Bates slips the punch.
Bates ducks under a wild hook from Parts.
Norman Bates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Bates misses.
Bates throws the left hand but Parts avoids the punch easily.
Bates misses with an uppercut.
Bates throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bates misses with a hook. Parts ducked under it nicely.
Bates walks into a straight right hand from Parts.
Parts avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bates walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Parts bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bates takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Parts throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parts blocks a jab.
Bates keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Parts.
Parts sends Bates crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Parts is motioning to the referee to let Bates up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Bates is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bates shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Parts but Parts pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bates is still on wobbly legs! Can Parts finish him?
Parts drops Bates with a straight right hand, right on the button! Parts follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
