Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Flang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, King Marvin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Flang! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flang blocks a jab. Marvin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Marvin prevents Flang from improving his position. Flang is staying active underneath Marvin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Flang trying to control but Marvin postures up.
Flang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marvin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marvin's back! Marvin is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Marvin can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marvin prevents Flang from getting a body triangle. Marvin can't escape the position.
Marvin is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Flang gets his way!
Flang tries to keep control of the position but Marvin is staying busy. Flang avoiding Marvin 's attempts to control his hands. Marvin tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Flang wants to take Marvin's back here but Marvin is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Flang swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Marvin is now in Flang's guard. A big mistake from Flang there, giving up the dominant position! Marvin wants to control from the top but Flang keeps moving. Marvin wants to pass the guard but Flang is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flang wants to sweep here but Marvin controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flang is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Marvin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Flang looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marvin is one step ahead there. Marvin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Marvin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Marvin controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Marvin forces his way into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Flang is looking to control Marvin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Flang avoid being mounted? Marvin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Marvin is looking to stall here but Flang recovers full guard. Marvin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Flang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Flang keeping moving, preventing Marvin from controlling successfully. Flang controlling Marvin's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Marvin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Flang shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Flang looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Marvin tries to reverse the position but Flang maintains control. Flang controlling from mount. Marvin is trying desperately to improve position. Flang swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Marvin is now in Flang's guard. A big mistake from Flang there, giving up the dominant position! Marvin landing with the ground and pound. Marvin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marvin trying to control but Flang is working from the bottom. Flang is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Marvin controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Marvin is refusing to be controlled, as Flang sits in half guard. Marvin wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Flang trying to control from half guard but Marvin is working away. Marvin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Flang trying to control but Marvin is working from the bottom. Flang looking to pass the guard. Marvin keeping moving, preventing Flang from controlling successfully. Marvin looking to control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Marvin tries for a takedown but Flang circles away easily so Flang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marvin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Flang has picked Marvin up and slammed him! Marvin can't keep hold of the triangle and Flang manages to pass to side control! Marvin tries to improve position but can't. Marvin is working hard here to advance position. Flang trying to control the position but Marvin is working away. Flang has hold of Marvin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Marvin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Flang cranks the arm and Marvin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Marvin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Greg Flang! Greg Flang retains his featherweight title!
