Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valor Takishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valor Takishi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronnie Carlton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Valor Takishi! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takishi doesn't manage to clinch there - Carlton circles away.
Carlton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takishi.
Carlton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice takedown defense from Carlton. No joy for Takishi on that attempt. Carlton misses with a body shot.
Carlton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Takishi. Carlton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takishi was well out of range. Poor timing from Carlton. Takishi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Takishi showed some decent athleticism there. Carlton wants to get back to full guard. Takishi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carlton sees it coming and defends easily. Carlton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Takishi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Carlton has managed to free his arm - good work. Carlton tries to get to full guard but Takishi has control of the leg. Carlton is trying to control but can't.
Carlton slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Takishi sitting in guard, not really doing much. Takishi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Takishi defends it easily. Carlton wants to sweep but no luck. Carlton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Carlton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Takishi defends well. Carlton trying to control the position.
Carlton has his foot on Takishi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Takishi works his way back into a safe position though. Takishi tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlton is retaining full guard. Takishi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Takishi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Takishi looks gassed!

Takishi postures up in Carlton's guard and throws a big left but Carlton blocks it. Takishi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carlton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carlton has escaped and now he's on top! Takishi controls Carlton momentarily but Carlton frees himself. Carlton works a leg free and moves into half guard. Carlton is thwarting Takishi's attempts to control the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takishi wants to improve his position but Carlton is controlling well.
Carlton tries to stand but can't do so whilst Takishi controls his leg. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Carlton works his foot free and advances to mount. Carlton controlling the pace for now. Takishi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Carlton breaks from Takishi's wrist control and lands an elbow. Carlton is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Takishi has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Takishi is squirming around, avoiding Carlton's attempts to control the action. Carlton looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Carlton avoids the attempt from Takishi to control. Carlton with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Carlton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Carlton has hold of Takishi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Takishi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ronnie Carlton dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Carlton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Takishi momentarily.
Carlton lands with a good body shot. Takishi dodges the punch combination from Carlton.
Carlton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Carlton throws a body punch but Takishi moves out of range. Carlton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Takishi was covering up waiting for the punch and Carlton finishes the takedown easily into guard. Takishi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Takishi is breathing heavily. Carlton is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Takishi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Carlton has worked his arm free - good work by Carlton!
Carlton manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's one minute gone in the round. Takishi actively working from the bottom here. Carlton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Takishi keeps working. Carlton works his way into full mount! Carlton moves to take his opponent's back. Carlton looking for the choke but no joy. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Carlton's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlton is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Takishi up.
Carlton working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Carlton trying to control momentarily.
Takishi tries to escape but Carlton has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Carlton working for a choke but Takishi is defending well. Carlton has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takishi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Carlton's guard. Nice work there by Takishi.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Takishi trying to control but Carlton is working from the bottom. Takishi wants to pass the guard but Carlton is keeping the position. Carlton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carlton is on top in guard.
Carlton stands up from guard. Let's bang! Takishi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carlton as he avoids it easily.

Nice shot lands for Carlton. Takishi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Takishi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Takishi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Carlton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Carlton throws a body punch but Takishi moves out of range. Carlton stalks Takishi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Takishi's face. Takishi staggers backwards, shaken. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carlton jabs at Takishi's body. Carlton connects with a looping right hand.
Nice cross by Carlton. Carlton is looking to wear down Takishi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Takishi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Takishi there as he acknowledges the shot. Carlton looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Carlton controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronnie Carlton dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Carlton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Takishi sprawls well initially but Carlton persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Carlton moves into full mount! Takishi won't be happy about that! Carlton wants to finish this one by submission but Takishi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Carlton. Carlton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Takishi is wriggling around trying to escape.
