Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, CJ Becker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wyatt Erp! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Becker tries to close the distance and clinch but Erp swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Erp shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Becker sprawls well. Becker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Erp gets slowly back to his feet. Becker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Erp shoots in but Becker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Becker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Erp fails with a takedown attempt. CJ Becker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wyatt Erp. Becker throws a right and a left that both miss. Becker tries to land a front kick but Erp steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Erp checks a low kick from Becker. Becker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Erp paws at him with a jab and circles away. Becker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Erp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Becker is looking to advance position but Erp won't allow it. Becker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Erp looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Becker passes to full mount! Erp regains half guard. Becker moves nicely into side control. Becker has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Becker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Becker throws a right hand that Erp ducks under and follows up with a left that Erp also avoids with ease. Erp fails with the takedown. Erp scores with a takedown into Becker's guard. Erp looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Becker is looking to stand up but Erp isn't so interested in that idea. Becker trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Becker working for a triangle but Erp defends it easily.
Becker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Erp pushing down on Becker's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Becker is defending against the submission attempts here by Erp.

Erp is pressing down on Becker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Becker is holding on for now. Becker tries to kick Erp off but Erp keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Erp is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Becker throws a right hand that Erp ducks under and follows up with a left that Erp also avoids with ease. Erp tries to move into range but Becker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Erp shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Becker pinned against the cage. Becker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Becker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Becker misses with a few strikes there.
Becker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Erp moves out of range of the body kick. Becker blocks a head kick by Erp.
Becker is looking to land body kicks. Erp has his takedown stuffed and Becker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A slapping body kick lands there for Becker. Becker tries to work over Erp's front leg with a kick but Erp checks it. Becker lands a nice looking body kick. A head kick misses from Becker. Becker swinging wildly here.
Becker lands a front kick. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Becker tries to score with a low kick but Erp moves his leg out of the way. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Becker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Erp with a lazy takedown attempt and Becker counters with a shoot takedown. Erp fights it but they end up in guard. Erp is working an open guard so Becker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Becker motions for Erp to come forward. Becker throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. CJ Becker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Erp looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Becker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Becker. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Becker stalks Erp and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Erp's face. Erp staggers backwards, shaken. Becker misses with a low kick.

Becker throws a series of strikes that have Erp backpedaling.
Erp is rocked! Erp shoots for a takedown but Becker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Erp is still on wobbly legs! Can Becker finish him? Becker throws a series of punches but Erp moves out of range. Erp seems to have recovered his senses. Becker fails to land with a series of punches.
Becker connects with a solid leg kick. Becker tries to score with a low kick but Erp moves his leg out of the way. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Becker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Erp circles away quickly and effectively. Erp shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Becker counters with a takedown into side control. CJ Becker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wyatt Erp.
That's one minute gone in the round. Becker trying to control the position but Erp is working away. Erp sneaks back into half guard. Erp looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref calls for Erp to stand up. Becker throws a right and a left that Erp avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Erp steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Becker. That one must have hurt. Erp takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Becker clinches. Becker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

CJ Becker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Erp is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The crowd cheers as Becker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Erp doesn't seem phased though. Becker throws a leg kick that misses. Becker misses with an attempted mid kick.

Erp fails with the takedown and Becker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Becker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Erp is proving hard to escape from. Erp looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Erp tries to land a sweep but no joy. Becker wanted to stand there but Erp had control of the position. Erp looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Becker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Erp is proving hard to escape from. Erp throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Erp has one foot on Becker's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Becker throws a right and a left that Erp avoids nicely. Becker pivots, looking for a leg kick but Erp is out of range and Becker settles back down. Becker closes the distance and lands a one-two. Becker delivers a nice body kick. Erp misses with a takedown and Becker makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Erp really felt that one! Becker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Erp moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Erp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Nice takedown defense from Becker. No joy for Erp on that attempt. CJ Becker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wyatt Erp. Erp shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Erp slips a jab and a cross from Becker.
Erp takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Becker is defended easily by Erp.

Erp has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Becker. Becker misses with a kick to the body.

Becker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Becker looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A combination from Becker does no damage. Erp tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Becker swivels and escapes. Becker displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Becker throws a series of punches but Erp avoids them all with ease. Erp shoots in for a double leg but Becker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Erp shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Erp was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! CJ Becker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Becker really wants to buck Erp off and get back to his feet. Becker slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Becker is trying to stand up here but Erp is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Becker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Erp. Becker looks like he's trying to stand up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Becker throws a series of punches but Erp moves out of range. Erp changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Becker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Erp working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Becker sneaks back into half guard. Erp is working for a kimura but Becker is defending it quite comfortably.

And that's the end of the fight! CJ Becker showed his dominance in that final round. Well Becker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
