Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Demon Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arkadi Novikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demon Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arkadi Novikov!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast slips a jab and a cross from Novikov.
Novikov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Novikov looks to score with a jab to the body but Beast is just out of range.

Beast tries to close the distance and clinch up but Novikov swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Beast lands a nice hook to Novikov's body. Novikov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Novikov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beast's waist but Beast gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Novikov off to one side.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Demon Beast will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Beast throws out a loose jab but Novikov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Beast swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Novikov.

Novikov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Beast is trying to defend but Novikov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Beast lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Arkadi Novikov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Beast wants to clinch up but Novikov keeps it at a distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arkadi Novikov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Novikov gets control of Beast's arms and successfully pulls guard. Novikov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Novikov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Novikov has control of Beast's left arm, preventing Beast from doing any damage.

Demon Beast showed his dominance in that final round.
