Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karry Divine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Black!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Divine looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Good standup being displayed there by Black as he connects with a hook.
Divine slips a jab and a cross from Black.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Divine.
A combination from Black does no damage.
Divine closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black is trying to stand back up but Divine is controlling him
Divine is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Divine stops Black from getting back to his feet.
Divine throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Black looks like he's trying to stand up.
Black is staying active underneath Divine, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Black wants to get back to his feet.
Divine wants to work for an arm triangle but Black is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Divine drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Divine falls off balance throwing a combination
and Black counters with a nice uppercut.
Black throws a right and a left that both miss.
Black stuffs the takedown attempt from Divine. Divine gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karry Divine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Black keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Black looks to land a combination. Divine sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Divine takes one to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Divine shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Black to counter with a crisp jab.
Divine is rocked!
Black measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Divine! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
