Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hanzo Hazashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Egberto Gismonti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hanzo Hazashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Egberto Gismonti! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hazashi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gismonti is refusing to be controlled, as Hazashi sits in half guard. Hazashi stops Gismonti from getting back to his feet.
Hazashi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hazashi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hazashi prevents Gismonti from standing back up.
Hazashi throwing shots but Gismonti is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hazashi decides to stand up. Gismonti fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gismonti misses with a wild combination.
Hazashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gismonti but Gismonti pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gismonti tries to clinch there but Hazashi circles away.
Hazashi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like Hanzo Hazashi has been cut. Gismonti displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hazashi. Gismonti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gismonti misses with a takedown attempt and Hazashi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gismonti won't be happy with that. Hanzo Hazashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Egberto Gismonti. An elbow from Hazashi crashes against the mat.
Hazashi is breathing heavily. Hazashi scores with a couple of short elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hazashi working the head and body with strikes. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hazashi lands a nice forearm strike. Gismonti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hazashi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hazashi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hazashi cracks Gismonti with a big right hand but Gismonti just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Gismonti is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hazashi has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gismonti is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hazashi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gismonti is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gismonti is trying to buck Hazashi off. Gismonti is not content to let Hazashi control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gismonti is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hazashi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hazashi in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A solid body kick from Gismonti. Gismonti getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Gismonti stuffs the takedown attempt from Hazashi. Hazashi gets slowly back to his feet. Some wild striking there from Gismonti.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hanzo Hazashi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hanzo Hazashi's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gismonti thuds a left hand into Hazashi's body. Hazashi shoots in and drives through. Gismonti sprawls well. Gismonti throws a push kick but Hazashi slaps the foot to one side. Gismonti throws a one two combo.
Gismonti shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hazashi defends it nicely. Gismonti shoots in but Hazashi avoids the takedown attempt easily. It's a brutal combination of punches from Gismonti! Hazashi is backing up but he can't get away as Gismonti lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Hazashi and ends the fight. Great knockout.
