Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sven Bjorksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Siciliano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sven Bjorksen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fred Siciliano! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siciliano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bjorksen tries to work over Siciliano's front leg with a kick but Siciliano checks it. Good work by Siciliano as he checks the leg kick. Siciliano has closed the distance and engaged Bjorksen in a clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Siciliano.
Siciliano misses with a punch on the inside.
Bjorksen decides to pull guard. Siciliano wants to pass the guard but Bjorksen is keeping the position. Siciliano loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Siciliano pushing down on Bjorksen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Bjorksen tries to get to full guard but Siciliano has control of the leg. Siciliano is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Siciliano is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bjorksen is just riding it out for now. Siciliano eventually gives up the hold.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Siciliano is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bjorksen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Siciliano is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bjorksen keeping full guard, as Siciliano tries to pass. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bjorksen can't keep his opponent in guard - Siciliano advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Siciliano seems to be working for a kimura but Bjorksen defends the submission attempt. Siciliano is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Siciliano changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bjorksen wants to land a leg kick but Siciliano is out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Siciliano avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bjorksen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Siciliano shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Siciliano is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bjorksen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Siciliano. Bjorksen wants to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Siciliano works his way into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Siciliano dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bjorksen tries to keep at a distance but Siciliano has taken the fight into the clinch. Bjorksen is looking to break free of the clinch but Siciliano has double underhooks. Bjorksen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Bjorksen - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round. Siciliano shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bjorksen's guard. Siciliano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bjorksen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Siciliano has managed to get both his arms back between Bjorksen's legs - danger averted. Siciliano drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bjorksen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Siciliano has Bjorksen in his guard. Siciliano can't keep his opponent in guard - Bjorksen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are battling for position here. Siciliano manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Siciliano has his foot on Bjorksen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bjorksen works his way back into a safe position though. Siciliano is breathing heavily. Bjorksen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bjorksen seems to be working for a kimura but Siciliano defends the submission attempt. Bjorksen is pressing down on Siciliano's thigh, looking to free his foot. Siciliano is holding on for now. Siciliano gets full guard. Siciliano is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Siciliano has his foot on Bjorksen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bjorksen works his way back into a safe position though. Siciliano has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bjorksen has passed into side control.

That could spell trouble for Bjorksen! Bjorksen tries to lock up and control but Siciliano gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Siciliano looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Siciliano jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bjorksen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bjorksen and Siciliano has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

A close second round but Fred Siciliano will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Bjorksen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Siciliano scores with a takedown into Bjorksen's guard. Siciliano stands and throws Bjorksen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Siciliano in side control, just content to control the action for now. Siciliano swings around for an armbar but Bjorksen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Siciliano's guard. Siciliano takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Siciliano wants to sweep but no luck. Bjorksen throwing strikes but missing. Bjorksen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bjorksen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Siciliano manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bjorksen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Siciliano jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bjorksen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Siciliano moves in looking to clinch but Bjorksen pushes him off. Bjorksen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Siciliano to score with a decent uppercut. Sven Bjorksen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bjorksen tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Siciliano counters with a takedown into side control. Siciliano looking to control but instead Bjorksen has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Siciliano wants to take a breather but Bjorksen is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bjorksen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bjorksen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bjorksen is trying to control the position but Siciliano postures up. Bjorksen controlling Siciliano's posture. Siciliano trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Siciliano trying to control the position from guard on top but Bjorksen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sven Bjorksen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! And that's the end of the fight! Fred Siciliano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Siciliano has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
