Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Takaku Fuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Patricio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patricio has chosen COWBOYS FROM HELL as his entrance music. Takaku Fuke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takaku Fuke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adrian Patricio!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuke misses with a few strikes there.
Fuke throws a series of punches but Patricio moves out of range.
Fuke keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Patricio.
Patricio connects with a body shot.
Fuke takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Takaku Fuke has been cut.
The fighters circling - Patricio throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fuke bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fuke landing a few strikes.
Patricio is not content to let Fuke control the position.
Patricio struggling a bit here.

Fuke stands up and beckons Patricio to his feet.

Fuke keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Patricio's efforts to push away.
Patricio has Fuke pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fuke manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Fuke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Patricio scores with a jab to the head.
Adrian Patricio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patricio looks to score with a jab to the body but Fuke is just out of range.
Patricio misses with a jab, cross combination.
Patricio throws a body punch but Fuke moves out of range.
Fuke's corner calls for a 1-2. Fuke obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Fuke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Patricio's guard.
Patricio looks gassed!
Fuke wanted to stand there but Patricio had control of the position.
Fuke decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fuke misses with a series of wild punches.
Patricio looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fuke takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fuke slips a jab from Patricio.
Patricio will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Danga de danga de dang - Fuke scores with a four punch combination!
Donk. Fuke catches Patricio right on the button with a cross.
No joy there for Fuke, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Patricio thows a left - swing and a miss!
Patricio takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Patricio gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fuke gets to his feet. Patricio looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A combination from Fuke does no damage.
Fuke lands a jab-cross combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Fuke takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Fuke throws a series of strikes that have Patricio backpedaling.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Patricio has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fuke finds it's way round the side to connect with Patricio's head.

Fuke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Patricio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Patricio has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Patricio there as he acknowledges the shot.

Fuke gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Patricio regains guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fuke stalks Patricio and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Patricio's face. Patricio staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Adrian Patricio has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Patricio misses the target.
Fuke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fuke lunges at Patricio with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Patricio's hand.
Fuke lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fuke gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Patricio is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fuke is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Patricio to the mat. Patricio regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fuke postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Patricio to stand up.
Patricio has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fuke dips to his left and cracks Patricio with an uppercut!

and Fuke counters with a three punch combo that has Patricio backing up. Patricio nods at Fuke to acknowledge the strikes.
Fuke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fuke shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fuke connects with a nasty looking knee right to Patricio's face.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fuke in particular looking to stall.

Well Fuke has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
