Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yamapi Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Sunabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan comes to the ring accompanied by Ikenai Tayou. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yamapi Chan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Sunabe! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sunabe throws a series of punches but Chan moves out of range. Sunabe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Ryo Sunabe has been cut. Sunabe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sunabe gets caught flat footed, as Chan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Chan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chan works a leg free and moves into half guard. Chan wants to free his trapped foot but Sunabe is holding on for dear life with his legs. Chan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sunabe defends it well. Chan trying to pass the guard but Sunabe defending well. Chan moves nicely into side control. Chan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sunabe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Chan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Chan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sunabe parries the strikes from Chan easily there. Chan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sunabe to escape.
Chan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sunabe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sunabe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Chan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Chan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sunabe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Chan looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sunabe is avoiding damage well.
Sunabe struggling a bit here. Sunabe stops Chan from passing to mount. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Chan tries for a kimura but Sunabe is defending well. Chan throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sunabe is looking to reverse the position. Chan tries to score with some ground and pound. Sunabe controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Chan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Chan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sunabe is looking for a sweep. Chan moves into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yamapi Chan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ryo Sunabe's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Chan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sunabe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Chan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sunabe defends it nicely. Sunabe on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Chan scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Chan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sunabe swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yamapi Chan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sunabe. Chan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sunabe tries to clinch there but Chan circles away.

Sunabe closes the distance and pushes Chan back into the ropes. Chan using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Sunabe rushes Chan and presses him up against the ropes. Chan misses with a hook from the clinch. Chan fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Sunabe scores with a shoulder strike. Chan keeps control of Sunabe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sunabe wants to get back to striking at distance but Chan won't allow it.

Chan is trying to drag Sunabe to the mat but Sunabe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Sunabe has Chan pressed against the ropes, preventing Chan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chan working hard to break the clinch. Chan tries to pull guard but Sunabe won't allow it.
Chan jumps guard but Sunabe stands there with Chan around his waist. Chan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Chan looking to slow down the pace here. Chan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sunabe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sunabe wants it to stay on the feet. Sunabe shoots in but Chan avoids the takedown attempt easily. Chan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A nice combination there by Chan.
Sunabe darts in and clinches Chan up against the ropes. Sunabe softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Chan gets underhooks to prevent Sunabe's takedown attempt.

Chan lands an elbow inside that Sunabe shrugs off. Sunabe's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Chan pulls Sunabe into guard.
Chan has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sunabe should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chan has tightened it up now! Sunabe should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
