Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lima Teixera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lima Teixera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luiz Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lima Teixera! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teixera missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Teixera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard. Silva working for a triangle but Teixera defends it easily.
Teixera wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Teixera is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Teixera trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Teixera defends it easily. Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Teixera has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and Teixera manages to pass to side control! Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Teixera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Teixera scoring with punches and elbows. Silva is looking for a sweep. Teixera controlling from side mount. Silva is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Teixera controls the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Silva moves out of range of the strikes. Silva defending well as Teixera loads up on a big left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Teixera misses with a wild body shot. Teixera throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Lima Teixera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Teixera, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Teixera throws a right and a left that both miss. Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A big left from Teixera misses. Teixera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Teixera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Silva is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lima Teixera dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
No luck for Teixera with that takedown attempt. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Teixera paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Teixera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Teixera off to one side. Teixera looks to throw the jab but Silva is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teixera throws a big shot that misses. Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Teixera is controlling Silva's posture. Teixera is trying to control the position but Silva postures up. Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Teixera is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Teixera has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silva throws his legs up looking for a submission but Teixera uses it to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Teixera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Teixera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Teixera just content to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Silva trying to get back to full guard but Teixera takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Teixera prevents Silva from getting the reversal. Teixera controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Silva is trying to escape the mount.

Teixera tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva can't escape the position.

Lima Teixera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Silva throws the left hand but Teixera avoids the punch easily. Teixera shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Teixera sitting in guard here, content to control. Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silva has an active guard here but Teixera has managed to pass into half guard.
Silva wants to improve his position but Teixera is controlling well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teixera trying to pass the guard but Silva defending well. Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Teixera pulls his head out easily. Silva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Teixera perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Despite being in the dominant position, Lima Teixera just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Teixera throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Teixera finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva has an active guard here but Teixera has managed to pass into half guard.
Teixera is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Teixera sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Teixera passes the guard and advances to mount! Silva is working to get back to half guard.
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Teixera's attempts to control the action. Teixera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Let's hope that Teixera has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that's the end of the fight! Lima Teixera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Teixera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
