Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Rabnud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McClaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabnud comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Rabnud! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John McClaine! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McClaine throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rabnud. Excellent takedown into side control there by McClaine. McClaine is looking to take a break and control but Rabnud is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rabnud manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! McClaine makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McClaine. Rabnud with a nice head shot there. McClaine keeping full guard, as Rabnud tries to pass. Rabnud chips away with some ground and pound. Rabnud trying to control the position from guard on top but McClaine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rabnud looking to sit in guard and control but McClaine gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rabnud keeping moving, preventing McClaine from controlling successfully. Rabnud knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McClaine on the ground. McClaine postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rabnud tries to land a sweep but no joy. McClaine tries to stand but Rabnud is controlling from the bottom. Rabnud trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McClaine works over Rabnud with some ground and pound from guard. McClaine gets to his feet. Rabnud looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McClaine will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. McClaine gets a takedown into half guard. Rabnud is trying to control but can't.
Rabnud pushes McClaine off looking to stand but McClaine dives back in and keeps control.
McClaine seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. McClaine moves nicely into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rabnud is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on McClaine's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rabnud is trying to stand.
Rabnud is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rabnud is doing well to control the position and prevent McClaine from advancing to side control. McClaine is looking to advance position but Rabnud won't allow it. McClaine is keen to just control but Rabnud is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rabnud is defending against the submission attempts here by McClaine.
McClaine looks gassed! Rabnud is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McClaine avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rabnud throws a shot from downtown. McClaine moves away and avoids it. McClaine will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rabnud misses with a looping right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John McClaine dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McClaine fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Chris Rabnud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John McClaine.

McClaine is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. McClaine is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McClaine in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Rabnud tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from McClaine!
