Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Burton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Randolph! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Randolph. No joy for Burton on that attempt. Randolph tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burton paws at him with a jab and circles away. No luck for Burton with that takedown attempt. Randolph with a lazy takedown attempt so Burton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Randolph is trying to control the position but Burton postures up. Randolph managing to control the position. Randolph working a defensive guard here.
Burton throwing strikes from guard but Randolph blocks nicely. Randolph controls Burton momentarily but Burton frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burton has gone for a leg lock! Randolph slips out almost immediately though and dives into Burton's guard. Burton looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Randolph has picked Burton up and slammed him! Burton can't keep hold of the triangle and Randolph manages to pass to side control! Burton takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Randolph cracks Burton with a big right hand but Burton just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Burton is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Randolph has just dragged him back down to the mat. Burton is breathing heavily. Burton tries to improve position but can't. Burton is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Randolph stands up and beckons Burton to his feet. Randolph has Burton up against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Randolph.
Burton pulls Randolph into guard.
Burton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Randolph's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randolph wants to stand and escape but Burton is having none of it. Burton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Randolph is keeping the position for now. Randolph wants to sweep but no luck. Burton tries to free his leg and advance position but Randolph is retaining full guard. Burton trying to control but Randolph is working from the bottom. Burton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Burton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Burton is looking to work some ground and pound but Randolph has wrist control. Burton is working Randolph over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Burton scores with a decent looking elbow strike. This has been an exciting period of action! Burton with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burton lands a couple of digs. Burton scoring with some ground and pound. Randolph not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Burton works over Randolph with some ground and pound from guard. Burton postures up and lands a big shot to Randolph's brow. Randolph preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Randolph keeping moving, preventing Burton from controlling successfully. Burton slips nicely into half guard. Burton thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Burton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Burton slips a nice elbow through Randolph's hands, connecting with Randolph's forehead. Burton is looking to take a break and control but Randolph is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Randolph trying to hold on to Burton's head to control him but Burton postures up.
Burton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Randolph keeps working. Randolph looks like he's trying to stand up.
Randolph has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Burton is working away from the top position though. Randolph blocking the ground and pound attempt from Burton. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Randolph is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Burton pulls his head out easily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Randolph bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Burton misses with a takedown and Randolph counters by moving into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Burton dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Randolph shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burton as he jumps to the side. Randolph tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Burton misses with a hook to the body
and Randolph counters with a lovely straight right hand! Burton moves out of range of the leg kick from Randolph. Randolph wants to clinch up but Burton keeps it at a distance. Burton shoots in looking for a takedown. Randolph tries to sprawl out of it but Burton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Randolph manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Randolph doesn't succeed with the takedown and Burton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Randolph's guard now. Randolph pushes Burton off and gets back to his feet.
Burton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Randolph to counter with a crisp jab. Randolph misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jack Burton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Randolph. Burton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Randolph counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burton sneaks back into half guard. Randolph is breathing heavily. Burton trying to control from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burton regains full guard. Nicely done. Randolph wants to control from the top but Burton keeps moving. Burton keeping full guard, as Randolph tries to pass. Randolph controls from within his opponent's guard. Burton wants to stand and escape but Randolph is having none of it. Randolph trying to control the position from guard on top but Burton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Randolph sitting in guard, not really doing much. Randolph thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Burton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Randolph throws a series of punches but Burton avoids them all with ease. Randolph misses with a takedown and Burton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Randolph's guard now. Burton advances to half guard. Jack Burton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Burton is working for a kimura but Randolph is defending it quite comfortably.
Randolph makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Randolph. Burton trying to control but Randolph is working from the bottom. Burton tries to free his leg and advance position but Randolph is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Randolph is proving hard to escape from. Burton trying to move into half guard but instead Randolph has managed to sweep! Burton thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Burton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Burton looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Burton uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Burton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Randolph darts in trying to clinch and Burton counters with a single leg into guard. Randolph didn't expect that. Randolph avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Burton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Burton is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Randolph looks calm but he's in trouble here. Burton gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Randolph is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Burton lets go of the hold and Randolph can pop his arm back in it's socket.
