Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ang Bak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kato Denis!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Bak finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Bak tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Denis.
Denis tries to clinch but Bak moves out of range.
Denis tries to clinch up.
Bak throws a head kick that misses.
Bak throws a front kick that sends Denis stumbling back into the cage.
Denis looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bak catches Denis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Kato Denis has been cut.
Bak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Denis. That did some damage!
A nice leg kick lands there from Bak.
Denis looks up at the clock. Bad move! Bak lands a right hand from hell, dropping Denis. Bak pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ang Bak!
