Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Estacio da Fonseca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dayman. da Fonseca has chosen "Chokechain" - 3oh!3 as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Fonseca looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kelly keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly is looking for a sweep. da Fonseca is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
da Fonseca sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kelly defending well though.
da Fonseca tries to pass to full mount but Kelly defends it.
da Fonseca has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
da Fonseca is looking for a kimura but Kelly is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for da Fonseca to get the leverage.
Kelly is not content to let da Fonseca control the position.
da Fonseca throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kelly forces da Fonseca back against the cage and clinches.
da Fonseca goes for a takedown attempt but Kelly pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
da Fonseca shoots in for a takedown but Kelly shows good takedown defense.

Kelly digs a right hand into da Fonseca's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on da Fonseca's gas tank.
Kelly presses da Fonseca against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
da Fonseca is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Charlie Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Estacio da Fonseca.

da Fonseca tries to score a body lock takedown but Kelly shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

da Fonseca is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kelly pulls him back up using the underhooks.
da Fonseca is trying to drag Kelly to the mat but Kelly just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kelly lands a body punch in the clinch.
Kelly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kelly scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but da Fonseca was well out of range. Poor timing from Kelly.

letting Kelly counter with a right hand.

da Fonseca is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kelly.

Kelly steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! da Fonseca is out on his feet! Kelly sets himself and nearly takes da Fonseca's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
