Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Bakunin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diesel has chosen "What You Know" - T.I. as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Diesel!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diesel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bakunin as he jumps to the side.
Diesel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bakunin is fending him off so far but Diesel persists. Nope, Bakunin circles away and we're back to standing.
Diesel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bakunin sprawls well. Bakunin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diesel gets slowly back to his feet.
Jake Bakunin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Diesel.
Diesel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bakunin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bakunin tries to get out of the position.
The referee asks Diesel politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Diesel prefers to stall for the moment though.
Bakunin throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Diesel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bakunin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diesel is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bakunin wants to improve his position but instead Diesel has moved into half guard.
Bakunin is looking to escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Diesel shoots in and drives through. Bakunin sprawls well.
Diesel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bakunin.
Bakunin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Diesel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bakunin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Diesel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

It looks like Mike Diesel has been cut.

Diesel tries to clinch there but Bakunin circles away.
Bakunin leaves Diesel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Diesel shoots in but Bakunin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Diesel looks gassed!
Diesel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bakunin pinned against the cage. Bakunin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Diesel wants to clinch.
Diesel takes one on the button.

Diesel fails to land the takedown.
Diesel tries to clinch but Bakunin is having none of it.
Bakunin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diesel.
Diesel clinches up with Bakunin and pushes him back against the cage.
Bakunin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Diesel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bakunin circles away.
Bakunin lands a body shot.
Bakunin thuds his shin into the meat of Diesel's side.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bakunin lands a head shot.
Bakunin drops Diesel with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Diesel looks back up at him and smiles so Bakunin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Diesel is rocked!
Bakunin cracks Diesel with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Diesel falls to his knees and Bakunin doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Bakunin!
