Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pongor Szinko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dmitri Mikhailovich! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mikhailovich takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Szinko misses with a body shot.
Szinko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Szinko misses with the combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Szinko looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Szinko tries to bum rush Mikhailovich with a series of wild strikes but Mikhailovich uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Szinko has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Szinko there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Pongor Szinko has been cut. Mikhailovich showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Szinko.
Szinko tries to clinch but Mikhailovich is having none of it. Szinko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Szinko lands with a right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Szinko tries to close the distance and clinch but Mikhailovich swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Szinko connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Mikhailovich lands with an overhand left. Szinko tries to clinch up but Mikhailovich circles away and keeps his distance. A big left from Szinko misses. Szinko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mikhailovich lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Szinko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Szinko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Mikhailovich! Szinko is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
