Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Lancaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Valera Myasnikow!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancaster stuffs the takedown attempt from Myasnikow. Myasnikow gets slowly back to his feet.
Myasnikow shoots for a takedown but Lancaster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lancaster tries to clinch there but Myasnikow circles away.
Myasnikow wants to clinch but Lancaster slips to the side

and Lancaster decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Myasnikow's guard.

Myasnikow looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lancaster has picked Myasnikow up and slammed him! Myasnikow can't keep hold of the triangle and Lancaster manages to pass to side control!
Myasnikow wants to control but Lancaster postures up.

Lancaster stands up and beckons Myasnikow to his feet.
Myasnikow closes the distance looking to clinch

so Lancaster counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lancaster gets to his feet - Myasnikow follows without any prompting.

Lancaster feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lancaster stands and steps away. Myasnikow gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lancaster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Myasnikow napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Myasnikow looks gassed!

Lancaster decides to stand back up. Lancaster steps back and let's Myasnikow get back to his feet.

Lancaster darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Myasnikow wants to get back to full guard but Lancaster has mounted him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lancaster controlling his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lancaster stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Lancaster does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lancaster shoots in and bounces Myasnikow off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Myasnikow is working an open guard so Lancaster takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Lancaster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Myasnikow to the mat! Myasnikow manages to get full guard.

Lancaster decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Myasnikow, up you get!

Lancaster fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Myasnikow, pushing him back against the cage.
Myasnikow tries to break the clinch but Lancaster is controlling the position.

Lancaster jumps into guard, dragging Myasnikow to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lancaster wants to get back to his feet but Myasnikow is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Myasnikow tries to free his leg and advance position but Lancaster is retaining full guard.

Lancaster manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Lancaster closes the distance and clinches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lancaster is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Myasnikow can't fight it off and eventually Lancaster manages to take the fight to the floor. Myasnikow looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Myasnikow has a closed guard, preventing Lancaster from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Myasnikow gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lancaster to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lancaster stands up from Myasnikow's guard - Lancaster perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lancaster misses with a hook.

Lancaster shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lancaster was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lancaster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Myasnikow on the ground.

Lancaster is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Lancaster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Myasnikow napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Myasnikow is breathing heavily.
You can see the frustration on Myasnikow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Myasnikow is looking to reverse the position.

Lancaster decides to stand up, so the ref orders Myasnikow to his feet.

Myasnikow gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lancaster stands and steps away. Myasnikow gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lancaster shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Myasnikow's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lancaster closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lancaster lands in his opponent's guard.

Lancaster is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Myasnikow can't fight it off and eventually Lancaster manages to take the fight to the floor. Myasnikow looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lancaster wants to stand up but Myasnikow has a hold of him and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lancaster stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Myasnikow to get to his feet.
Lancaster doesn't manage to clinch there - Myasnikow circles away.
Myasnikow takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Myasnikow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lancaster counters with a single leg into guard. Myasnikow didn't expect that.

Lancaster stands up from Myasnikow's guard - Lancaster perhaps looking for a knockout.

Myasnikow wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lancaster has him pressed against the cage.

Lancaster decides to pull guard.

Lancaster has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Myasnikow off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Myasnikow wants to clinch but Lancaster slips to the side

and Lancaster moves into the clinch.

Myasnikow is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lancaster is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Myasnikow to the mat. Myasnikow regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Lancaster stands up from Myasnikow's guard - Lancaster perhaps looking for a knockout.

Lancaster rushes Myasnikow and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Myasnikow tries to break the clinch but Lancaster is controlling the position.

Lancaster has picked Myasnikow up - he's going for a ride! Lancaster dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Lancaster lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Myasnikow or not.

Lancaster pulls guard.
Troy Lancaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lancaster is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Myasnikow is controlling him.

Lancaster kicks Myasnikow off and gets to his feet.

Lancaster bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Lancaster decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Troy Lancaster is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lancaster closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Myasnikow did well to prevent Lancaster getting side control.
Lancaster is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Myasnikow can do to turn this around?

Myasnikow lands with a kick to the temple. Lancaster shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Valera Myasnikow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lancaster postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Myasnikow to stand up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Myasnikow tries to clinch but Lancaster moves away

and Lancaster counters with a shoot takedown. Myasnikow fights it but they end up in guard.

Lancaster gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Troy Lancaster showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lancaster has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
