PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Majiin Seven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ram Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Majiin Seven is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Majiin Seven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ram Bo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Seven looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Seven's head.
Seven knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bo on the ground.
Bo is nestled in close to Seven, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bo throwing shots but Seven is blocking nicely.

Seven looks like he's trying to stand up.

and Bo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bo.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Seven is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Seven with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bo thows a huge punch but Seven dodges it nicely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Seven is controlling him.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Seven seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Bo is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Bo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Seven was covering up waiting for the punch and Bo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Seven sprawls well initially but Bo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ram Bo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Bo misses with a takedown

and Seven decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bo's guard.
Bo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Seven manages to get himself to full guard.

Bo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Seven moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Seven misses with a takedown attempt - Bo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Majiin Seven. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bo throws a sloppy head kick and Seven moves out of range easily.
Bo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Seven looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Seven tries to close the distance and clinch but Bo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

so Seven counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bo pushes Seven off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Ram Bo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Seven walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Seven counters with a takedown into side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Seven is controlling him well.
Seven wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bo keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Bo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bo tries to bench press Seven off him but Seven keeps the position.
Seven wants to take a breather but Bo manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Seven.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
