Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Riku Ogawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuo Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishikawa has chosen The Black Dahlia Murder - Necropolis as his entrance music. Kazuo Ishikawa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Riku Ogawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuo Ishikawa! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ogawa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ishikawa tries to avoid it but Ogawa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ishikawa to the ground. Ishikawa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ogawa misses with a takedown attempt - Ishikawa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ishikawa stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riku Ogawa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ishikawa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ishikawa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ogawa circles away quickly and effectively. Ogawa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ishikawa defends it nicely. Ishikawa misses with a series of wild punches.

Ogawa shoots in for a double leg but Ishikawa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ogawa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ishikawa napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ogawa trying to control the position but Ishikawa is working away. Ogawa grinds an elbow into Ishikawa's temple. Ogawa tries for a kimura but Ishikawa is defending well. Ogawa is trying to get an arm triangle but Ishikawa is defending well. Ogawa is breathing heavily. Ogawa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ishikawa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ishikawa tries to escape but Ogawa is in control. Ogawa looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ishikawa is avoiding damage well.
Ishikawa is trying to buck Ogawa off. Ogawa tries for a kimura but Ishikawa is defending well. Ogawa throws a strike aimed at the side of Ishikawa's head but Ishikawa avoids it well. Ogawa throwing shots but missing, from side control. Ogawa prevents Ishikawa from escaping the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ishikawa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ogawa moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ogawa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ishikawa as he jumps to the side. Ogawa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ogawa tries for a takedown but Ishikawa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A big right from Ogawa misses. Ogawa tries to clinch up. Ishikawa misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ogawa closes the distance and clinches up with Ishikawa, looking for a takedown. Ogawa pushes Ishikawa against the cage but Ishikawa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
