The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dalton is looking to take a break and control but Hell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dalton taking a breather here. Hell tries to escape but Dalton is in control. Dalton has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Dalton is breathing heavily. Dalton is looking to clinch. Hell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Dalton shoots in for a double leg but Hell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dalton shoots in and drives through. Hell sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hell misses with a few strikes there.
Dalton fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Dalton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hell keeps the fight on the outside. Dalton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nice sprawl there from Hell as Dalton shoots in. No luck for Dalton with that takedown attempt. Hell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dalton. No joy there for Hell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dalton tries to land a front kick but Hell steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Hell tries to stand and escape but Dalton is controlling the position. Dalton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dalton. Hell wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Dalton's closed guard. He's half up but Dalton has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Dalton pivots and extends the arm, Hell falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Dalton! Well done that man!
