The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pudzianowski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Toriyama did well to prevent Pudzianowski getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Pudzianowski is just content to waste time from the top position. Toriyama takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
