Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Azz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Connely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harry Azz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Azz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Connely! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Azz loads up on a big right hand but Connely slips the punch. Nice defenses there by Connely. Azz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Azz on the wrong end of a nice hook. Connely looks for a takedown but Azz sprawls well. Azz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Azz tries to bum rush Connely with a series of wild strikes but Connely uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Azz throws a right hand that Connely ducks under and follows up with a left that Connely also avoids with ease. Azz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Connely throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Connely scores with a nice head shot. Connely moves into the clinch. Azz is trying to force a seperation but Connely has the dominant position. Azz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Azz throws a nice looking combination but Connely bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Connely avoids a punch combination nicely.
Azz walks into a stiff left hand from Connely. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Azz misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Azz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Dan Connely has been cut. Harry Azz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Connely clinches with his opponent.
Connely throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Azzs head.
It looks like Harry Azz has been cut. Connely has Azz pressed against the cage, preventing Azz from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Connely lands a right hand that snaps the head of Azz backwards. Connely tries to score a body lock takedown but Azz shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Connely digs a right hand underneath Azz's ribcage. Azz let out a lung full of air as it connected. A right hand to the body from Connely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Connely fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Harry Azz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Connely. Connely gets a trip takedown into half guard. Azz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Connely's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Connely's back! Connely covering up well under a barage of strikes. Connely tries to escape but Azz has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Azz is trying to stick to Connely's back but Connely is turning into Azz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Azz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Connely. Connely tries to free his leg and advance position but Azz is retaining full guard. Connely trying to control but Azz is working from the bottom. Azz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Azz is adopting a defensive guard. Connely trying to control the position from guard on top but Azz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Connely postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Connely shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Azz's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Azz trying to keep a closed guard but Connely is proving a slippery customer.
Connely cracks Azz with a solid left hand. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Connely lands a couple of digs. Azz controlling the position. Azz keeping full guard, as Connely tries to pass. Azz is looking for a triangle but Connely pushes his legs off easily.
Azz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Connely's guard. Connely manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Azz is trying to escape the mount.
Azz is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connely is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Azz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Azz shrugs it off. Connely in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Connely with shots to the head and body - Azz looks very uncomfortable down there. Connely lands with some strikes. Connely has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Azz's face.
Azz defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Connely. Azz wants to control but Connely is having none of it. Connely trying to control but Azz is having none of it. Azz reaches up and holds on to Connely to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Azz wants to control but Connely is having none of it. Connely controlling the position easily from mount. Connely can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Azz is looking to escape. Connely working for a guillotine from mount but Azz is in no mood to give up. Connely has hold of Azz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Azz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Connely raining down shots from the mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Connely dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Connely showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Azz.
Connely misses with a wild body shot. Azz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Azz throws a series of punches but Connely avoids them all with ease. Connely scores with a jab to the jaw. Connely missing with a left hand there. Azz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Harry Azz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Connely jabs Azz right on the nose. Azz blinks but takes it well. Connely darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Azz is looking to control Connely's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Azz avoid being mounted? Azz is trying to get back to full guard. Connely thows a huge punch but Azz dodges it nicely.
Connely works his way into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Connely lands with some strikes. Azz wants to control but Connely is having none of it. Azz is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Dan Connely has got the better of the ground game so far. Connely wants to control the pace but Azz is squirming around nicely. Connely lands a big elbow. Connely lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Azz hang on? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Azz taking shots to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Connely is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Azz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Connely lands a big elbow. Connely loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Azz scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Connely land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Connely stands and salutes the crowd.
