The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plissken closes this distance looking for a takedown but McSouthers circles away.
McSouthers stuffs the takedown attempt from Plissken. Plissken gets slowly back to his feet.
Plissken uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McSouthers.
McSouthers is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Plissken stuns McSouthers with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

McSouthers rushes Plissken and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McSouthers has Plissken pulled in close to control his posture.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Plissken has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McSouthers avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Plissken looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! McSouthers has picked Plissken up and slammed him! Plissken can't keep hold of the triangle and McSouthers manages to pass to side control!

McSouthers stands up and we're back to a striking position.
McSouthers bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Plissken's head backwards.

Plissken moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

McSouthers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Plissken is trying to improve his position.

McSouthers is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Plissken is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Plissken regains half guard there - taking advantage of McSouthers's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Plissken is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McSouthers pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Plissken breaks McSouthers's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McSouthers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McSouthers seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Plissken for as long as he can get away with.

Plissken had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McSouthers defends it easily.
McSouthers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McSouthers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Plissken has his foot on McSouthers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McSouthers works his way back into a safe position though.

Well McSouthers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
