Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Camel !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshall Eriksen!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Camel .
Camel gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Eriksen falls off balance throwing a combination
and Camel counters with a straight right hand.
Eriksen misses with a hook to the body

and Camel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eriksen's guard.
Eriksen wants to get back to his feet but Camel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Camel wants to pass the guard but Eriksen is keeping the position.
Camel wants to control from the top but Eriksen keeps moving.
Eriksen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Camel . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Camel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Camel won't allow Eriksen to get back to his feet.

Camel is looking to work some ground and pound but Eriksen has wrist control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Camel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Eriksen.
Eriksen moves forwards but Camel connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Eriksen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Camel scores with a hook to the body. Eriksen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Camel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Eriksen to the mat! Eriksen manages to get full guard.
Camel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eriksen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Camel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Camel trying to control the position from guard on top but Eriksen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Camel postures up in Eriksen's guard and throws a big left but Eriksen blocks it.

Eriksen wants to stand but Camel is controlling the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Eriksen closes the distance but Camel moves to the side
and Camel counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Eriksen misses with a looping right.
A jab from Eriksen misses.

Eriksen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Camel loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Eriksen keeping moving, preventing Camel from controlling successfully.
Camel is pushing down on Eriksen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Eriksen is fighting to maintain full guard but Camel has managed to sneak the leg through.
Camel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eriksen keeps working.
Eriksen is trying to stand up here but Camel is controlling him well.
Camel passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Eriksen!
Camel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Eriksen looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Camel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Eriksen wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Camel .
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eriksen can do anything to dispel that myth.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Camel fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Eriksen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Camel lands a head shot.
Eriksen throws out a powerful jab.
Eriksen tries to clinch but Camel moves away
enabling Camel to counter with a crisp jab.
Eriksen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice defenses there by Camel .
A shot to the body from Eriksen misses
and Camel counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Eriksen tries to clinch but Camel moves out of range.
Eriksen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Eriksen lands a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Camel keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Eriksen is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Camel is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Eriksen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Camel sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Eriksen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Camel is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Eriksen will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Camel is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Eriksen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Camel gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Eriksen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Camel lets go of the hold and Eriksen can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joe Camel !
