Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LaVey comes into the arena with Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

LaVey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rodriguez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Albert Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

LaVey closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rodriguez did well to prevent LaVey getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
LaVey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
LaVey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

LaVey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
LaVey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rodriguez.
LaVey bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
LaVey turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

LaVey throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rodriguez on the side of the head.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from LaVey! Rodriguez is out on his feet! LaVey rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rodriguez is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rodriguez is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
