Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kazuki Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Matic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Matic has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kazuki Williams's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazuki Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Matic! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Williams. Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Matic tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Matic to the ground. Matic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Matic slaps away a takedown attempt from Williams, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kazuki Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from Matic. Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matic's waist but Matic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side. Matic shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Matic looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Matic wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs. Matic controlling the pace. Matic prevents Williams from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matic seems to be working for a kimura but Williams defends the submission attempt. Williams wants to control but Matic is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Matic works his foot free and advances to mount. A nice elbow there by Matic. Matic looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matic get's back to his feet. Williams tries for a takedown but Matic circles away easily and Matic counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Williams blocks the body kick.
Matic gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Williams tries to land knees in the clinch but Matic avoids the damage to the body. Matic holding his opponent close, against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Matic is keen to just control but Williams is a slippery customer. Matic wants to advance to full mount but Williams doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Matic looks gassed! Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Matic from controlling successfully. Matic content to stall in guard here. Matic thows a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Matic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Williams kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Williams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Matic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Matic. Williams looking to pass the guard. Williams is looking to stand up but Matic won't let him. Williams in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Matic can't keep his opponent in guard - Williams advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Matic is trying to maintain the position but Williams is very close to passing his half guard. Williams is pressing down on Matic's thigh, looking to free his foot. Matic is holding on for now. Matic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Matic is looking to get back to full guard here but Williams has managed to pass to side control instead. Matic wants to control but Williams is having none of it. Williams lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams wants to take Matic's back here but Matic is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Matic is squirming around, avoiding Williams's attempts to control the action. Matic is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Williams wants to control the pace but Matic is squirming around nicely. Matic flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Williams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Matic tries to improve his position but instead Williams has taken his back! Matic just trying to survive but Williams is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Williams looking for the choke from the back. Matic is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matic tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Matic is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Matic and Williams has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Matic gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Josh Matic will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Matic lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Matic darts in and clinches Williams up against the cage. Williams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Matic just stands there and leans against the cage. Williams tries to circle away but Matic has him pinned against the cage. Matic jumps guard.
Matic pushes Williams off and gets back to his feet.

Matic darts in and clinches Williams up against the cage. Matic has Williams pressed against the cage, preventing Williams from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Matic stalling.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Matic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Matic darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Matic is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matic lands strikes from half guard. Williams tries to get to full guard but Matic has control of the leg. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Matic connects with a nice short shot to Williams's temple. Matic trying to pass the guard but Williams defending well. Williams is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Matic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Matic's back!

And that's the end of the fight! Josh Matic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Matic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
