Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tate's choice of entrance music: Diamonds Aren't Forever. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Fraser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Tate!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tate lands a nice shot to the body.
Fraser with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tate to score with a decent uppercut.

Tate has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tate gets underhooks to prevent Fraser's takedown attempt.
Tate creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Fraser goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tate prevents it.
Tate slowing the pace effectively.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fraser takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fraser postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by Fraser or perhaps it was just good defense by Tate which made him look bad.
Tate throws a sloppy head kick and Fraser moves out of range easily.
Fraser throws a looping overhand right but Tate ducks down to avoid it.
Fraser dives in and grabs Tate's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tate pushes down on Fraser's head and hops out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tate gets caught flat footed, as Fraser shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fraser has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tate pulls Fraser in close to prevent any damage.

Fraser has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tate is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fraser.

Tate wants to control but Fraser is keeping him busy.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Fraser will probably get the nod.

A nice combination there by Tate.
Tate throws a low kick, looking for Fraser's leg but Fraser calmly moves out of range.
Fraser closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tate circles away.
Tate lands a nice shot that snaps Fraser's head back.

Tate has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fraser is proving hard to escape from.

Tate is trying to stick to Fraser's back but Fraser is turning into Tate. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Tate's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fraser.
