The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua shoots for a takedown but Machida saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
An inside leg kick from Machida misses.

Machida tries to bum rush Rua with a series of wild strikes but Rua uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Machida lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Rua is looking to close the distance but Machida sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Rua crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Rua is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
