Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Osi Tuck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Kline! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuck uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kline. Tuck fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kline looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Tuck loads up on a big right hand but Kline slips the punch. Tuck jabs Kline right on the nose. Kline blinks but takes it well. Tuck pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kline tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tuck swivels and escapes. A telegraphed right hand from Tuck misses the target. Tuck pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Tuck throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tuck, as that shot connected.
Kline shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tuck sprawls well. Tuck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kline gets slowly back to his feet. Tuck scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tuck lands a jab to the head.
Kline throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tuck was covering up waiting for the punch and Kline finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tuck is looking for a triangle but Kline pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kline wants to control from the top but Tuck keeps moving. Kline looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kline postures up.
Tuck is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kline is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tuck holds on and takes a little breather. Kline tries to free his leg and advance position but Tuck is retaining full guard. Kline thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kline prevents Tuck from getting back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tuck swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tuck jabs Kline right on the nose. Kline blinks but takes it well. Nice uppercut there from Tuck. Tuck throws a nice looking combination but Kline bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kline tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tuck sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kline somewhat. Osi Tuck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Kline. Tuck swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kline fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kline looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tuck can't keep his opponent in guard - Kline advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tuck gets back to full guard.
Kline got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tuck has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kline has managed to get both his arms back between Tuck's legs - danger averted. Tuck wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kline drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kline jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kline wants to pass the guard but Tuck is keeping the position. Kline postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tuck is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kline, into his guard. Kline manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tuck regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Osi Tuck dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tuck misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tuck throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Tuck loads up on a big right hand but Kline slips the punch. Tuck scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Tuck working away. Kline is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tuck is one step ahead and moves to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tuck working for a submission but Kline is keeping him at bay. Tuck swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kline is now in Tuck's guard. A big mistake from Tuck there, giving up the dominant position! Kline trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tuck wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kline trying to control the position from guard on top but Tuck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tuck trying to keep a closed guard but Kline is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tuck throws a shot from downtown. Kline moves away and avoids it. The fighters circling - Tuck throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Tuck defending well as Kline loads up on a big left hand. Tuck scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Tuck swings for the body but Kline moves out of range.
Tuck closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kline did well to prevent Tuck getting side control. Kline actively working from the bottom here. Kline is looking for a sweep. Tuck is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tuck is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kline is looking to improve his position.
Kline regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tuck stands and throws Kline's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tuck wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kline keeps working. Kline is looking for a sweep. Tuck wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kline, who protects the arm well. Kline manages to get back to half guard. Kline has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tuck is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. It looks like Tuck is going to stand back up.
Kline has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Tuck. Oh but Kline has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Tuck goes limp - he's gone! Kline jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
